About Kamado or Ceramic Grills

The notion of a ceramic grill was first introduced over 3,000 years ago in Asia.  Some of the oldest clay cooking vessels were discovered in China, and ultimately, the clay is now superseded by ceramic material. The idea of a kamado grill was first introduced in the USA after the Second World War. The name "kamado" is, in fact, the Japanese word for "stove" or "cooking range". In today culture, the kamado is a common term for a ceramic grill, and they have many uses such as smoking, baking, roasting, and grilling.
